Bek Garwood is our Principal.
Bek has a long past association with LHS as a parent, School Council member, Educational Assistant and relief teacher, with a deep commitment to our school values. As a consultant for The Association of Independent Schools of WA (AISWA) Bek worked with many different schools to promote best educational practice in very diverse contexts, providing facilitation, guidance, professional development and mentoring at the whole school, department and individual staff member level. Prior to that, Bek was Early Years Learning Coordinator at Christ Church Grammar School, where she developed and implemented their Early Learning Community, including their first Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs. These roles, combined with her own commitment to learning and research, have given Bek insights, skills and experience in school leadership, curriculum, administration and wellbeing. Bek is currently working towards a Doctor of Education at the University of Notre Dame Australia.
