The Year 2 class ventures out for the day to Bush School on Friday 18 March. This will begin with just Year 2. The Year 3 class will join the Year 2 class next term.
Bush School is an integral part of our learning. For three terms in the year we spend every Friday out and about in the local bushland environments. This provides an opportunity not only to strengthen our knowledge of nature but also to take our otherwise indoor learning outside. Our academic learning also fosters sincere respect for our Indigenous culture.
Bush school allows enormous opportunity for the development of lateral, creative thinking skills, the assessing and taking of responsible risks, independence, resilience and rich, relevant team working skills.
